Type Locality and Naming
Along the Chambil quarry, N. Nuratau Range. R.R. Usmanov in 1991 (460, p. 162).
Synonym: Chambil Suite, Чамбильская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Gray, light-gray, rarely dark-gray, clearly layered, aphinitic, oolitic, organogenic-detrital limestones. Thickness 270-300m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Conformably overlies the Besragatin Fm
Upper contact
The upper boundary is drawn at the base of bauxites or alloites at the base of the middle Carboniferous limestones, Bashkirian stage (Usmanov et al., 1999).

Contains foraminifers - Earlandia elegans (Raus. et Reitl.), Omphalotis cf. frequentata (Gan.), Tuberetina maljavkini Mikh., Endostaffella shamordini (Raus.) and others.
